Julie Breaks her Leg! November 16, 2010

Julie, our beloved violinist and brainiac, has broken her leg! You can read the story on my picasa HERE and read part 1 and 2 of “When Bad Things Happen to Good People”.

Julie is now wearing a pretty blue cast and feeling much better. Thanks to these fans who sent in Get Well Soon cards to Julie:

“Dear Other Julie, I’m so sorry to hear that you broke your leg. 😦 I hope you feel better soon 🙂 That is SO non-groovy that you have to stay in a wheelchair and wear a cast! 😦 I hope you feel better soon. I also hope that you learned that Breena is not your friend. 😦 Get well soon!
~Julie and Hannah
(Great Story, by the way!)”

“Dear Julie-Clone-who-is-nothing-like-me,
Get Well Soon! It’s so sad to hear that a fellow Julie got hurt. At least you have a groovy shade of blue for your cast! I really hope that you get up and movin’ again soon and I’ll keep you in my dollie prayers! Just remember now that Mickey is your true friend, one you can trust, and Breena isn’t.
Love, and Hugs, and Lady Bugs,
Julie Marceline Albright”
~Julie and Carolyn

“Don’t worry Julie you should be fine! I love you lots and I will be visiting you again soon! When you visit I will fix you a yummy treat. Get well soon! Love, your Auntie Abby.” ~Abby

Amanda and her dolls were so sweet to create virtual Get-Well-Soon cards for Julie. Their message is:
“From Kirsten: Hi there! We are all deeply sorry you broke your leg and I wanted o give you this speacial message: Do not feel pressured to do things you do not want to do, especially from people as mean as Breena.
From Faith and Molly: Hey girl! Faith *JLY 23* and Molly *1944* the twins here! We hope you get well soon and please hang in there!
From Hannah and Zoey: Hi, Julie! How do you feel? We hope you’ll feel better soon! Our whole family has included something special for you! Hope you like it!”

Sarah and her dolls, Willow & Ivy,  Lena and dolls also wish Julie to get well soon. If you wish to send to Julie a Get Well Soon card, send it through email or leave a comment her or picasa.

Julie also wants to say something: “Thank you, everyone for supporting me through this injury. I am so thankful to have so many friends around the internet. I will talk to ya’ll soon!” ~Julie

Eva Grace and Julia Have a Play Date December 10, 2009

Eva Grace woke up one Saturday morning. She got dressed and ate breakfast, then simply sat down in her room. “What should I do today…” she mumbled to herself. Molly and Lulu were taking Kit out to get leaves for her project due on Monday, Kathleen and Addy were STILL asleep, Elsie, Josefina, and Samantha were reading together for a little book club they formed on Saturday mornings, and Felicity was over at a friends house. The only doll who didn’t have ANYTHING to do hardly was Eva. She COULD go over to that girl Maggie’s house right across the hall (right across the street in doll form), but Eva a little scared to. Finally, though, she had an idea.

“Julia?” Eva Grace barely knew how to use a people phone, but this was Madeline’s sister’s old one, so Eva Grace thought no one should mind. But she got it working. “Julia? Yes, Hello. It’s me, Eva Grace. Yeah, that’s cool you are going on a vacation over winter break! Well, anyway, I wanted to ask if you want to come over? Ok, I will let you ask your mom……Ok? She said it’s fine? Ok, I’ll be waiting by the front door. Love-ya-like-sister! Bye!” Julia was the doll of Madeline’s neighbor, Abbey, and one of Eva Grace’s BFFs.

Soon there was a knock on the door. “Yay, Jules!” Eva Grace greeted her friend. “How do you do,  Miss Eve Gray?” Julia greeted in return, curtsying in a funny way. “So, come on in!” Eva Grace said, closing the door behind them. “Hey, girl!” Julia said, pointing to Eva’s shirt and skirt. “Love the out!”  Eva Grace glanced at herself then at Julia. “Yeah, we ARE wearing the same thing, LOL! Come with me, we’ll go to my room.” Then the two heard an, “OUR room!” coming from another place in the house. “Just my sissies!” laughed Eva Grace.

“So, how are you? Julia asked. “I’m fine, you?”  said Eva Grace back. The girls sat down and chatted a little and laughed that they had worn the same outfit, not on perpose. The girls thought about what they should do. Julia suggested, “How ’bout you do my hair? Then I’ll do yours.” Eva Grace laughed. “Hair Stylists it is!”

Eva started on doing Julia’s hair. First she brushed, and brushed and brushed. Did I mention she brushed?

“Wow! Braids! I love them, Eva Grace! I didn’t know you could braid. It looks great! Now it’s my turn to do your hair.

Another marathon of brushing, brushing, brushing.

Julia put Eva Grace’s hair in a silly, funky style. “Wow, Jules!” Eva Grace giggled, stray hairs flying in her face. “Thanks, this is quite the style!” Julia laughed. “You know I’m no super star at hair, you can take it out if you’d like, Miss Eve Gray.” Eva shook her head, not wanting to hurt her friend’s feelings. “Oh, no, Jules. It’s fine. I like it. Now what should we do next?”

Next up, the girls looked at the American Girl Doll catalouge. Eva Grace wants the Ivy’s New Year Dress fir Christmas, and Julia likes Julie’s room accessories.

Soon, it was time for Julia to go home back to Abbey. “Bya, Jules Girl!” Eva Grace said, hugging her best friend. “See ya, Miss Eve Gray!” Julia said back. The girls hugged once more and exchanged some terse conversation, then departed.

When Julia had shut the door behind her and left, Eva Grace scrambled to her room and squished down on the carpet and tugged out the rubber band in her hair. “How silly Julia is!!!!” She said. “How silly and crazy and funky and creative and tomboyish she is….

But I love her!”

Meanwhile, beck at Julia’s house in her room….

“How silly and calm and creative and fashion-y and pink and GIRLY Eva Grace is!” Julia said. “But I love her anyway!”

1. AmericanGirlDollCentral: What are your names?
Ana: Ana
Kristy: Kristy

2.AmericanGirlDollCentral: If you could meet a “star” from  AGDC, who would you want to meet?
Ana: I would say Eva Grace . But they’re all super nice, it’s hard to pick
Kristy: Elsie. being the new girl must be tough. But AGDC is a great place! 😉

Ana: A teacher
Kristy: A doctor

4.  AGDC: Tell us something about the each of you.
Ana: I love all kinds of sports. But my favorite are ice-skating and soccer.

5. AGDC: If you could have another sister (doll), who would it be? A historical? A Bitty Baby? A Just Like You, maybe?
Ana: Kirsten We almost look alike.
Kristy: Bitty Twins. They look so cute and it would be fun to have little brothers and sisters.

6. AGDC: What would you day if you wanted to introduce yourself to a new girl at doll school?
Ana: Hi, my name is Ana, What’s yours?
Kristy: Hi, I’m Kristy. Do you want to talk?

7. AmericanGirlDollCentral: You’ve just one a dream vacation for dolls to an awesome place. Also, to make matters BETTER, you get to take TWO friends along with you. Where are you going and who’s coming with you?
Ana: I would go to Hawaii and bring Jess(girl of the year 2006) and Kristy, my sister.
Kristy: Hmmm….that’s a hard pick…. I say American Girl place Chicago and I would take Samantha and Nellie (the historical dolls).

8. AGDC: If you could be a human for a day, what would you do and why?
Ana: I would go on a place, because when your 18″ inches high, it’s pretty scary, but if your a human, it’s not so bad. It’s actually pretty fun.

Ana: Something about Christmas.
Kristy: Anything with lots of pictures and dolls in it!
