This is the place where you can talk about anything you want with me or other friends you find on AGDC! My dolls will also talk to you if you ask them.

As for a friend for her Lanie, she can choose a new MyAG doll. That way she could create her own doll and even have access online! She can even customize the MyAg to look like her. Or, she can get a historical. Each of the historical dolls have 6 books each, teaching girls about life long ago. There’s many to choose from!

I just thought of three new AG dolls! 1924, 1984, and 2004.
They could talk about woman’s voting and stuff like that for 1924, and they could talk about 80s trends and stuff for 84, and they could talk about New York and stuff for 2004! What do you think, peeps? 🙂

I like the 1924. If that’s how it was, she would be living in the Roaring Twenties. Woman’s voting was already covered in the Samantha books, but would also be a good thing to add to a 20’s girl’s books. That was also during the time of the Prohibition, and I bet that would be an interesting story going on there. Some people think a twenties girl would be too much like Kit, but they were two WAY different decades. Nice idea! 🙂
1984- I don’t know……. It was a little too close to the time AG’s were made, and I know there were different styles and fads, but I don’t think there was a huge change between 80’s and 70’s. And I think Julie is the most recent AG is going to get for now. Maybe later on if the company stays strong. But, you know, an 80’s girl WOULD be cool and you could always make your own using a JLY and sewing or buying 80’s clothes.
2004- WOAH! This was SIX years ago. Not even ten. I am not trying to be mean at all, and she would be very cool with the 9/11 effect, but NOT a historical, at least not now. She’d kind of be a today girl. 9/11 is not even really a “historical” event yet, but if you really want to add that, it would work the same on an upcoming GOTY. I can see why you think it’s a cool idea, and it IS, but not for a historical. Some people are already upset about Julie being “too close” to nowadays, and imagine how a 2004 girl would do. But a great imagination is what you have, so keep dreaming up dolls! Who knows, maybe one day you’ll work as a person who thinks up the ideas for new AG’s. 😉
I really would like a 1874 doll! I LOVE the Little House books, and I’d love there to be an AG series and doll that was around that same era. That’s actually my favorite time in history, and I love books about it! Also, a Pilgrim girl would be cool! But…her clothes wouldn’t be very pretty!!!!
Well I’m kinda new here, but love faeries and American Girl dolls. We just got a store opened up months ago. My favorite store. I think a pilgrim would be really neat too. And I love all the Little House on the Praire books and DVD too.
I wished they would bring out a faerie girl, I would love that. I make faeries and elves.

hi ppl!!!!!!!! i need help. i have a jly #5 and her hair is crazy!!!!!! i dont live near a ag store and my parents dont trust the mail ppl to deliver it. they dont even trust stephenswooddancer!!!!! also a doll from 1954 would be cool! why do the historical dolls years all end in 4?
Don’t send your doll to the doll hospital. I have sent my doll and they delivered her well when her leg came off, but the reason is because is costs $50- $60 dollars to get a new headm which is the least extent you can get to treat your doll’s bad hair. I understand if your parents don’t trust Sarah, but I will say if it helps, that many girls have sent their doll and got it back fine, and you can also make arrangements with Sarah and she will do EXACTLY what you asked. She charges very cheap.
Does she really have that bad of hair? Here are some tips to give your doll a pampering at home.
First, try washing your dolls hair with a tiny bit of Revlon SYNTHETIC WIG SHAMPOO and give your doll a downy dunk. To see how to do that, click here. I don’t recommend steaming or any kind of heat at ALL for your dolls hair at first.
After treating your doll to the information on the page I gave you, make sure you always lightly mist your dolls hair before brushing with water. Start by brushing at the ends little by little, working the tangles out. Keep working your way up until all the tangles have been brushed out. Use the doll hair pick to style her bangs.
Make sure you always brush your dolly’s hair with a WIRE WIG HAIRBRUSH. It doesn’t HAVE to be AG brand, but make it is made for a wig and has metal wire things. Hope this helps!!! Tell me your results!!! I’ve done all these things with my doll and- IT WORKS!!!

Wow! Have lots of fun! If you bring your dolls, make sure that they stay clean and safe (trust me, 3 year old little girls have tried to steal my dolls before! 😉 )
i couldnt…but i DID get 2 ride the gravatron!best ride EVER!!!u should ride it at ur 4th of july carnival.so far we did…roller skating,free food,extra fun stuff,and carnival.(but were takin a break at tha library)bye 4 now!

Aww, I like Sallyjoe! Maybe she could sometimes be Sallyjoe, and other times be the girl you are making! But the doll you are making sounds REALLY COOL! Hi Jessica! “Lyn” and “Juana” are middle names of my dolls. “Lyn” is Eva Grace’s middle name, she is a JLY, and “Juana” is Josefina. She is a historical. I don’t plan on changing them, but sometimes I do tweek their personalities. As of now, though, my dolls will remain the ways they are. 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Sarah, I think you should do a little research on 1600’s dress code before you make the dress. It will take longer, but it’ll be historically accurate. I know you’re thinking of Felicity type clothes, but the 1600’s were actually just a bit different from that. Try checking for Pilgrim type of clothes, cuz that would be the most historically accurate. Just a suggestion.

hey maddie!yesterday i got some doll stuff 4 REALY cheap!wanna know wat they got?they got a pencil and tape set,(from dollar general and ONLY 50 CENTS!)a mini pencil sharpener,(also 50 cents and from dollar general)a cute purse(my mommy said its name brand,and i only got it 4 50 cents at a thrift store down the road)and a cute little doll sleepin bag.(it was about a dollar and from the same thrift store as the purse)bye maddie!

I have 2 Kit ag dolls. One of them has ag stamp and the other has pleasant company stamp. Do you why they are different or if one is worth more than the other?
Both of your dolls are Mattel. 🙂 The reason one Kit has a Pleasant Company stamp does not mean she is actually from Pleasant Company. The stamp was still used after the Mattel takeover. I purchased a Felicity from 2008 who has a PC stamp! Because all Kits were made after the Mattel takeover, they are both Mattel and do not have many differences. But, Kit dolls have gone through lots of different “looks” throughout the time she’s been out, so they may have a different look to one another. Both your dolls, in mint condition, would be worth the price you bought for them, more or less $100. 🙂
